My eSIM plan says "Special Activation Required" - What do I need to do?
Most Gohub eSIMs are ready to use as soon as you install them. But some plans - particularly those connected to local carriers - require additional steps before your eSIM can connect to the network. These plans are flagged with a "Special Activation Required" tag on the plan card.
Where to find the instructions
Every plan with Special Activation Required includes a full step-by-step guide in two places:
- The Technical Details section on the plan page - before you purchase
- The Note field in your order details - after you purchase
When to complete these steps
Read the instructions carefully before your trip. Some plans require activation steps to be completed before you fly - missing this can mean arriving at your destination without a working connection.
