Can I use an eSIM and my physical SIM at the same time?

Yes - and this is one of the biggest advantages of using an eSIM for travel. Most modern smartphones support Dual SIM technology, which allows you to run two lines simultaneously: your physical SIM and your eSIM. They operate independently, so you don't have to choose one over the other.

Here's how most travelers use it:

  • Physical SIM → keeps your home number active for calls, SMS, and apps tied to your number (banking OTPs, WhatsApp, etc.)
  • Gohub eSIM → handles your mobile data abroad at local rates

This means you stay reachable on your regular number while using affordable local data - without removing your SIM card or paying roaming fees.

One thing to note: while both SIMs can be active at the same time, only one can be set as the default data line. When traveling, simply set your Gohub eSIM as the primary data source in your phone's settings.
