Entering the airfield with a wristband that only your phone can top up

At Cosquín Rock the entry wristband is the only valid proof of entry and also the payment method inside the grounds 2. That single fact shapes how you use your phone. You verify the purchase with a six-digit code sent through your banking app, and unverified purchases are cancelled after 10 days 2. You preload the wristband online at cosquinrock.net, and you will want to check your balance or top it up again between sets. The airfield is an open field with tens of thousands of people holding phones at once, so the network is under strain exactly when you need it most. If your phone has no data at the gate, you cannot confirm anything, cannot read the festival site and cannot see where the pickup stands are. Arriving with a working connection already installed means that the first screen you open in Argentina is a map and not a roaming error.

Finding the last bus to Córdoba at 3 a.m.

After the headliners finish, hundreds of people want one of the same few intercity buses. Timetables and booking pages for the Terminal de Ómnibus de Córdoba are online, and on a 2024 edition the bus operators asked passengers to buy tickets through the terminal website 8. You need data to check which company runs, where the queue starts and whether a ticket booth is open.

Losing your group at the Tribal Stage crowd

On a field this wide, a friend who walks off for water can disappear for an hour. Share a live map pin before the evening acts begin, and agree on one fixed meeting point such as a free water refill point mentioned in the 2025 guidance 9.

Paying a taxi or app ride in the town afterwards

Interurban buses in 2024 no longer accepted cash and wanted a TIN card or a Banco de Córdoba contactless debit card 8. Check payment rules on your phone before you queue, and keep a data connection ready for ride-sharing apps such as Andiamo mentioned by Perfil 8.

When Is Cosquín Rock in 2027?

Cosquín Rock 2027 is set for Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2027 at the Aeródromo Santa María de Punilla, according to the organiser's own site 2. The dates were announced in late July 2026, which means the 2027 season is already confirmed in public even though GoHub editors still verify the dates with the promoter 3. The festival is celebrating its 27th year, and it has grown from a local rock gathering into a national event with rock, indie, pop, urban music, blues, electronic music and cumbia on the bill 3.

The previous edition took place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February 2026, again at the same airfield 10. Before that, the 2025 edition was held on 15 and 16 February 9, and the 2024 edition on 10 and 11 February 8. The pattern is clear: a two-day weekend in the first half of February, which is high summer in Argentina. The 2027 weekend lands earlier than the last three years, so if you are used to planning around mid-February, adjust your leave and your flights.

If you searched for Cosquín Rock 2026 dates, they were 14 and 15 February 2026 10. The 2026 edition reunited more than 90,000 people and more than 100 artists 3.

Dates in a quick list:

  • Cosquín Rock 2027: Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2027 3

  • Cosquín Rock 2026: Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February 2026 10

  • Cosquín Rock 2025: 15 and 16 February 2025 9

Tip: Official information lives at cosquinrock.net 1. Anything about a gate time or a new rule is posted there first, so recheck it a week before you travel.

Ticket stages, wristband pickup and the 10-day code

The official ticket route is edenentradas.ar, linked from the festival's own site, and the organiser warns that tickets from resellers or other unofficial channels are not guaranteed 2. Cosquín Rock sells tickets in stages, and the 2027 sales opened on 29 July 2026 only on cosquinrock.net 5.

Phase 1 and phase 2 were presales reserved for clients of BBVA Argentina, with 12 interest-free instalments until stock ran out, and phase 3 was general sale with all payment methods 5. Ámbito reported that the first two stages sold out within minutes 7. The same outlet listed the general two-day pass in the stage called "Viajando" at ARS 500,000 plus service charge 7. For comparison, in February 2026 a single day was ARS 185,000 plus ARS 27,750 service charge, and the two-day pass was ARS 340,000 plus ARS 51,000 service charge 10.

How the process works in practice:

  1. Buy on the official stage page and pay by card.

  2. Within 10 days enter the six-digit code sent to your banking app; the code can take up to 72 business hours to arrive, and unverified purchases are cancelled 2.

  3. Collect the wristband at a pickup point, or wait for home delivery, with dates to be announced from November 2.

  4. Keep the wristband on your wrist: lost, stolen or damaged ones are not replaced except for manufacturing defects 2.

Pickup points listed by the organiser include Córdoba Capital, La Falda, San Francisco, Villa María, Rosario and the festival box office in Santa María de Punilla 2. Only the cardholder can collect, with ID and the card, unless a third party brings a notarised authorisation 2.

Children up to 3 years old (inclusive) enter free, children from 4 pay the full price, and anyone up to 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult 2. There is no childcare service on the grounds 2.

Home delivery of wristbands is limited to the cardholder, who must show ID and the card at the door 2. If you live outside Argentina and cannot collect in person, plan for the festival box office in Santa María de Punilla, because a third party needs a notarised authorisation and copies of the card and ID 2. Start this paperwork weeks before the weekend of 6 and 7 February 2027, not on the Friday.

Buyers from abroad should also expect the verification code to arrive through the banking app attached to the card. If your card is issued by a foreign bank without that app, ask the organiser's support channel on cosquinrock.net before you pay rather than after 2.

Note: The right to cancel within 10 days does not return the service charge 2.

Bus from Córdoba to the airfield gate

The simplest route is the intercity bus from the Terminal de Ómnibus de Córdoba to Santa María de Punilla, and you buy tickets online by filtering the terminal website by that destination 8. The airfield lies in Santa María de Punilla, a town on Ruta Nacional 38 in the Punilla valley 9.

Ways to reach it:

  • Intercity bus from the Córdoba terminal; the Ualabee app shows which city lines reach the terminal 8

  • Tren de las Sierras from the Alta Córdoba station; in the 2024 edition the fare was ARS 76 per person, with departures at 07:53 and 15:55 8

  • Car via Ruta Nacional 38, or the Camino del Cuadrado that connects to the Punilla valley 9

  • Rideshare: Andiamo was suggested to find other fans going to the festival 8

Interurban drivers in 2024 no longer accepted cash, so you needed a TIN prepaid card or a Banco de Córdoba debit card with contactless payment 8. Check that rule again before you travel, because payment systems on Córdoba transport can change.

Walkers should use only the official access points to avoid risks on the road 9. Cosquín Rock 2027 on 6 and 7 February 2027 is expected to follow the same pattern: buses from the Córdoba terminal plus extra special services announced close to the date.

Travel time depends on traffic more than on distance, so allow a generous margin on Saturday 6 February 2027 and Sunday 7 February 2027, when the roads of the valley carry festival traffic. Use Waze for live traffic, closures and detours if you drive, as Perfil recommended in 2024 8. If you arrive by air, Córdoba is the usual gateway, and from there the terminal is the next step; the Ualabee app helps you find the city bus that reaches it 8.

A practical plan for a group: reach the Córdoba terminal in the morning, board an intercity bus to Santa María de Punilla, drop your bags at your lodging in the valley, then walk or ride to the gate by the official access points 9. For the return, decide before the show whether you are leaving after the last act or sleeping in the valley.

Tip: Buy your return bus ticket before the last band, not after it. Waiting until 2 a.m. on Sunday means a queue with tens of thousands of people.

What the lineup looks like on 6 and 7 February

The 2027 lineup is already published on the festival site, which promotes the programme under the line "ya tiene grilla" 1. Saturday 6 February 2027 lists Wos, Divididos, Ciro y Los Persas, Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, Jorge Drexler, No Te Va a Gustar, Los Cafres, Richie Hawtin and Capital Cities, among others 3. Sunday 7 February 2027 is headlined by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Babasónicos, Tan Biónica, Las Pastillas del Abuelo, Catupecu Machu and Jack Johnson, with Marilina Bertoldi, Kapanga and Peces Raros also on the list 3.

Set times were not yet published for the 2027 edition when this page was written (accessed 2026-10-15), so plan around the day assignment and check the official site later 1.

What to expect from a Cosquín Rock day:

  • A mix of national rock legends and international names on the same stage

  • Electronic and urban acts in the evening, which pull a different crowd

  • Heavy daytime sun, so the shaded spots go fast

  • Water refill points rather than bottled water sales, according to the 2025 guidance 9

The festival describes its mix as rock, indie, pop, urban music, blues, electronic music and cumbia 3. That variety means the crowd changes during the day: families and older fans tend to fill the field for the national rock names, while the electronic slot of Richie Hawtin on Saturday pulls a different audience at night 3.

Arrive when the early bands play if you want a place near the front for a headliner. If you only care about one act, the field is wide enough that you can walk to the edge and still see and hear. The organiser calls the event suitable for all audiences 2, so you will see families, teenagers with an adult, and groups of friends of every age.

Tip: Photograph the lineup poster for each day and save it offline. Your phone will not always have signal near the stages.

February heat and sudden rain in the Punilla hills

February is the hottest and wettest part of the year in the province, and a festival day mixes strong sun with the chance of an afternoon storm. In Córdoba city, February highs average about 29°C and lows about 17°C, based on 55 years of Córdoba Observatorio records, and measurable rain falls on about 41% of days 11. Monthly precipitation sits around 121 mm with about 12 rainy days in one source 11. The Punilla valley is at a higher elevation than the city, so treat these as a rough guide and check the forecast the week before. What the weather means in practice:

  • Bring sunscreen, a cap and a poncho; all three were on the 2025 list of allowed items 9

  • Bring an empty canteen and refill it, since refill points were provided 9

  • Pack a warm layer for the night, because temperatures drop after sunset 9

  • Umbrellas, coolers, tents, folding chairs and mate were prohibited in 2025, so leave them at the hotel 9

The organiser's prohibited list for every edition includes alcoholic drinks, glass and cans, weapons, fireworks, laser pointers, unauthorised drones, professional cameras and animals other than assistance dogs 2. Bags may be searched at entry, and refusing a search can mean denied entry 2.

Heat is the bigger risk for most visitors. Drink water at the refill points, eat before the headliners and take breaks in the shade, because a long afternoon in the sun can finish your evening early.

Cosquín Rock 2027 in Santa María de Punilla falls in the middle of the rainy season, so a waterproof phone pouch is a better investment than an umbrella that will be confiscated at the gate.

Tip: Dust is the usual problem after a dry stretch and mud after a storm. Wear shoes you can throw away.

Camping towns and beds around Cosquín

Fans who sleep near the airfield usually pick Santa María de Punilla or the neighbouring town of Cosquín, which is about five minutes from the airfield according to an indie-music agenda 14. That listing names campsites such as Complejo Festival and Municipal in Santa María de Punilla, and Tibidabo, Ipora and Río Cosquín in Cosquín 14. Confirm that each one is operating for your dates, because those names come from a past edition.

Choose by what you want:

  • Camping: cheapest, and in walking range of the gate, but expect noise at night

  • Cabins and small hotels in Cosquín: a short ride from the airfield and calmer

  • Córdoba city: more choice and an easy return journey, but you rely on late buses

  • La Falda, Carlos Paz: other valley towns with pickup points, but a longer commute 2

Festival camping is not run inside the festival grounds: the organiser lists tents among the items that cannot enter 9. Tents are for the campsites in town, not for the field.

If you travel with older relatives or small children, choose a cabin or hotel in Cosquín over a tent: the organiser allows children up to 3 for free but offers no childcare on the grounds, so you will want a quiet place to rest between days 2.

Book as early as possible. Rooms around Santa María de Punilla and Cosquín fill after the lineup is announced, and the lineup for the 6 and 7 February 2027 weekend is already public 1. No official accommodation price list exists, so we give none here.

Tip: When you book a campsite, ask for the nearest bus stop and whether you can shower after midnight. Both matter after a long Sunday.

Pocket Cash and how pesos work at the festival

Inside the airfield you pay with the Pocket Cash wristband and nothing else 2. You preload online at cosquinrock.net with credit or debit card, a digital wallet or other enabled methods, or top up on site with cash or electronic payments at designated points 2. Online preload refunds go back to the original payment method, while on-site refunds need a form, take up to 30 days and carry a 10% administrative charge 2.

Outside the gate you need Argentine pesos for everyday things such as a bus, a kiosk or a snack. One 2026 guide says US dollars are accepted at hotels, upscale restaurants and tour agencies, but groceries, taxis, street food and pharmacies need pesos 12. The largest peso note has historically been small, so cash payments mean carrying many notes 12.

Foreign cards are usually better treated than cash. Under a late-2022 rule, card payments by foreign visitors are valued at the MEP rate instead of the lower official rate 12. As of early 2026, one law-firm guide describes the gap between the official and parallel dollar as under 15% 13. We do not give an exchange rate here because the figures differ by source, so check a live rate the day you travel.

Tip: Top up the wristband before you leave the hotel. The on-site points have lines at the busiest hours, and your phone may not load the app in the crowd.

Signal and Wi-Fi when 90,000 fans share the airfield

Mobile signal at Cosquín Rock weakens when the whole airfield uses the network, which is why you should treat your phone as a tool that needs planning, not as something that always works. The 2026 edition reached more than 90,000 people 3, and the 2027 airfield will feel the same load on 6 and 7 February.

What to do before you go:

  • Install an Argentina eSIM before you fly, so the plan is ready when you land at Córdoba airport

  • Preload the Pocket Cash wristband and save the ticket confirmation offline

  • Download an offline map of Santa María de Punilla, the Córdoba terminal and your campsite

  • Save the lineup poster and the meeting-point photo for your group

The festival site says wristband pickup, payments and updates are handled online 2, so your phone is part of the system. Public Wi-Fi is unreliable at a crowded field, so rely on mobile data, and check the Argentina eSIM page when you choose a plan.

Tip: Turn on low-power mode and carry a portable charger; portable chargers are on the allowed list in the 2025 guidance 9.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, the 2027 edition is set for Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2027 at the Aeródromo Santa María de Punilla 3. The announcement came in late July 2026, and ticket sales started on 29 July 2026 on the festival site 5. Check cosquinrock.net for any change to the schedule.

The festival takes place at the Aeródromo Santa María de Punilla, a small airfield in the Punilla valley of Córdoba province 2. The town of Santa María de Punilla sits on Ruta Nacional 38, so it is easy to reach from Córdoba city by intercity bus, by the Tren de las Sierras or by car 8.

Yes, intercity buses run from the Terminal de Ómnibus de Córdoba, and you buy tickets online by filtering the terminal website for Santa María de Punilla 8. In 2024 the buses no longer took cash, so you needed a TIN card or a Banco de Córdoba contactless debit card 8.

No, tents were on the prohibited list in 2025, so campsites are in the surrounding towns 9. Listings name campsites in Santa María de Punilla and Cosquín, with Cosquín about five minutes from the airfield 14. Confirm each campsite operates for your dates and book early.

In 2026 single-day tickets were sold at ARS 185,000 plus a service charge of ARS 27,750, alongside a two-day pass 10. For 2027, the organiser sells in stages with presales and general sale, so check the official stage listings for single-day availability 5.

Inside the grounds you pay only with the Pocket Cash wristband, which you preload online or at designated points with cash or electronic payment 2. Outside, in buses, kiosks and shops, you need pesos or a card, since groceries, taxis and street food are paid in pesos 12.
