Yes, all iPhone 12 models (iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max) support eSIM, allowing you to use a digital SIM alongside a physical one.

iPhones bought in Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macao usually don’t support eSIM, except the iPhone 12 mini. However, iPhone 12 minis purchased in Mainland China also lack eSIM support.

How to check if your iPhone 12 supports eSIM:

Unlocked phone: Go to Settings > General > About. If it says “No SIM restrictions,” your phone is unlocked.
eSIM support: Go to Settings > Cellular. If you see “Add eSIM” or “Add Cellular Plan,” your phone supports eSIM.
IMEI check: In About, look for “Available SIM” (iOS 15 or later) or “Digital SIM” (older versions). A 15-digit IMEI confirms eSIM compatibility.

How to activate eSIM on iPhone 12:

Go to Settings > Cellular.
Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
Choose Use QR Code or enter details manually.
After scanning/entering the code, tap Next.
Enable Data Roaming and Cellular Data for internet access. Avoid enabling Data Roaming before reaching your destination.
