Your QR ticket is scanned once at the first gate filter

Corona Capital 2026 is the kind of festival where your phone is your wristband, your map and your ride home, and the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a big, flat, hot-then-cold site where all three fail at the worst moment. The organiser's FAQ says an official photo ID is checked at the first gate filter together with your ticket, and that a ticket cannot be transferred once it has been scanned 2. Lost tickets are not reprinted, so a screenshot that will not load at Gate 6 is a real problem, not a nuisance 2. Then there is the walk between the two main stages, the search for a friend who went to buy water, and the Metro that stops running at midnight while headliners are still playing 2. A working connection decides whether you sort out a ride on your terms or at the mercy of whatever fare appears at 1 a.m. on Avenida Añil.

Finding your group between the two main stages

The festival is laid out around the circuit, with two main stages far enough apart that a friend who walks off for ten minutes can be impossible to find in the dark. Drop a shared location pin before the first act starts, because one tap on a map beats shouting into a crowd of tens of thousands.

Booking a ride after the Metro closes

Line 9 shuts at midnight, and the busiest part of the night, the last headliner, falls after it 2. Rideshare apps price dynamically when the whole site empties at once, so having data to compare a ride, a walk to a different pickup street, or a late Metrobús is worth real money.

Paying for parking and the box office on the day

The box office accepts every payment method including cash, while parking has been reported as cash-only in coverage of past editions 2 3. Keep a banking app working so you can top up a card, split a bill with friends or buy a day upgrade at the box office.

The complete guide

When Is Corona Capital in 2026?

Corona Capital 2026 takes place on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City 1 11. The organiser's own site lists those three days and the venue, and Mexican outlets reported the announcement on 23 April 2026 1 11 12.

The dates shifted compared with earlier years. In 2026 the festival lands after the long weekend tied to the national holiday on Monday 16 November, so it falls one week later than the traditional early-to-mid November slot 11. If you booked flights around an older pattern, check the days again before you pay for a hotel.

Corona Capital 2026 is the 16th edition according to the main Mexican coverage, although a few outlets number it differently, so do not use the edition number as a search term for tickets 5. Use the date and the venue instead.

Each day has its own lineup, which is why the dates matter beyond the calendar. The festival reports for 2026 place Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons and James Blake on Friday, Twenty One Pilots, The Offspring and Underworld on Saturday, and The Strokes, The xx and Manic Street Preachers on Sunday 3. Another outlet publishes the headliners without assigning them to days, so confirm the daily split on the official lineup page before you buy single-day tickets 5.

  • Friday 20 November 2026: first day, per the organiser 1.

  • Saturday 21 November 2026: second day, per the organiser 1.

  • Sunday 22 November 2026: closing day, per the organiser 1.

Nothing has been published about a 2027 edition at the time of writing, so do not plan travel for it yet.

Tip: The page treats these dates as expected until editors confirm them with the organiser. Add the three days to your calendar now and recheck once the day-by-day timetable is released.

How Much Does Each Corona Capital Ticket Tier Cost on Ticketmaster México?

Corona Capital tickets are sold through Ticketmaster México in four tiers: Acceso General, Comfort Pass, Banamex Plus and Club Pass 4. Prices change by sales phase, so any figure you see is a snapshot, not a fixed rate.

The first phase opened with a Banamex cardholder presale on 26 May 2026 at 14:00, and general sale started on 27 May 2026 at 14:00, with a limit of 8 tickets per person and a promotion of three months without interest on credit cards 4. Those dates have passed, so what you can buy now depends on what is left in the current phase or on the resale market.

Reported prices from one Mexican outlet, as of its writing, were as follows 5:

  • General three-day pass: $5,952 MXN in phase 2 5.

  • Comfort Pass three-day pass: $6,981 MXN in phase 1 5.

  • Banamex Plus three-day pass: $9,697 MXN in phase 1 5.

  • Club Pass three-day pass: $30,050 MXN in phase 2 5.

  • General single day: $2,778 MXN for Friday and Sunday in phase 1, and $4,390 MXN for Saturday in phase 3 5.

All prices are quoted plus service charges 4.

There is no tier officially called Zona VIP. The nearest equivalents are Banamex Plus, which adds a fast line, side-stage access, rest areas and golf-cart transport between the two main stages, and Club Pass, the premium option with a terrace, concierge and included food and drink 2 4. Comfort Pass adds faster entry and air-conditioned restrooms, but does not include Banamex Plus perks 4.

Upgrades from General depend on availability and mean paying the difference at the box office 2. Children need a ticket from age three, and there is no kids' area 2.

Before you pay, decide how many days you really want. A three-day pass suits fans of acts spread across the weekend, while a single day makes sense if only one headliner matters, but remember that single-day prices differ by day and by phase, so Saturday cost more than Friday or Sunday in the reported snapshot 5. Buy only from Ticketmaster México or its official box office, since tickets that are scanned cannot be moved and lost ones are not reprinted 2.

Note: Banamex Plus and Comfort Pass wristbands are fitted on arrival at the Banamex Plus area, and a broken band must be shown to get a replacement 2.

How Do You Get from Metro Ciudad Deportiva to Gate 6 at the Autódromo?

The quickest way to Corona Capital is Metro Line 9 to Ciudad Deportiva, then a short walk to the entrance, with Gate 6 the usual choice from that station 3 7. Coverage of the 2026 edition advises leaving the station on the side facing Pantitlán and walking against the traffic flow 3.

The Metro fare is 5 pesos, and the station opens from 5:00 on weekdays, 6:00 on Saturdays and 7:00 on Sundays, closing at 24:00 9. That matters for Friday evening commuters and Sunday morning starters.

From Mexico City's international airport, take Metro Line 5 from Terminal Aérea to Pantitlán, then change to Line 9, which runs two stops to Ciudad Deportiva via Puebla. Check the station is open when you travel, because Line 9 has had temporary closures in the past 9.

Other routes into the site:

  • Metrobús Line 2 to Goma, Iztacalco or UPIICSA, then a walk of 5 to 8 minutes to Gate 15 on Avenida Añil 3.

  • Trolebús stops near Gate 8 and Ciudad Deportiva 7 8.

  • The OCESA shuttle Ticket2Ride ran round trips from points such as Condesa, Santa Fe and Perisur at $350 MXN per person per day or $945 MXN for three days in 2025 8.

  • Car parking has been paid and cash only, entering by Gate 15, and cost $550 MXN per day in 2025 and needed an advance reservation 3 8.

Sources disagree on which gate is the main one, with Gates 6, 7 and 15 all named, and the organiser FAQ lists Gate 5 as the box office 2. Check the official map before you leave.

Tip: Returning, plan for Metro to stop at midnight, while the last headliners run later 2. Decide before the final set whether you leave early or take a ride from a side street such as Avenida Añil.

How Does a Corona Capital Day Run from the Gate Search to the Last Headliner?

Gates open at 2:00 pm each day, and the event finishes at about 2:00 am, with last entry about three hours before the final performance 2. First acts have started around 3:20 pm and big sets wrapped up around 1:00 am in 2025, so afternoon sets are worth catching if you want to see more than the headliners 7.

Plan your day around the two main stages and the walking time between them. Banamex Plus holders get golf-cart transport between those stages, while everyone else walks 2. Re-entry is not allowed once you leave, so decide on dinner before you go in 2.

The entry process has two layers: a first gate filter where ticket and official photo ID are checked, and a second, airport-style security search 2. Security may also search people and vehicles at any time 2.

What is on the 2025 permitted list is useful for packing:

  • Sunscreen in cream form, sunglasses, hats, earplugs and powder-style makeup 7.

  • Clear bags and small bags up to 30 x 30 cm, with single-compartment backpacks accepted 7.

  • Empty recyclable plastic bottles up to 1 L, rechargeable power banks and non-professional flash cameras 7.

  • Antibacterial gel in containers up to 100 ml 6.

Items refused in 2025 included umbrellas, outside food and drink, cigarettes and vapes, aerosols, professional cameras, tents, blankets, chairs, lasers and glass 7. Umbrellas are not allowed under the organiser's FAQ either; take a poncho if rain threatens 2.

Set times are published as an image near the date, so check the official channels the week before 8. The lineups reported so far are spread over the three days, so single-day buyers should compare them before purchasing 3.

Tip: Hold your ID and QR ready before you reach the first filter. Bag-check queues are slowest right after gates open, so arriving mid-afternoon is faster than arriving at the start.

Will the Cold Night at 2,200 Metres Catch You Out in November?

Yes, nights at the Autódromo are cold for a daytime festival, because Mexico City sits at roughly 2,200 to 2,600 metres above sea level depending on the district 10. November averages a high near 22.5 °C and a low near 8.6 °C, with about 15 mm of rain spread over 2 days 10.

Those numbers explain the festival feeling. At 14:00 the site is warm and the sun is strong at that altitude, then the temperature falls fast after dusk, and the last headliners play in the low single digits 10. The same dress that works at the first act can leave you shivering by the headliner.

Rain is not usual in late November, but it can happen. The organiser's FAQ suggests ponchos or a light jacket for rain, while umbrellas are not allowed 2.

Crowds are heavier for headliner slots than for the afternoon opening acts. The long gates window (2:00 pm to about 2:00 am) gives you room to arrive early, claim a spot near a stage and then rotate rather than stand through everything 2.

Pack in layers:

  • Cream sunscreen, sunglasses and a cap for the afternoon 7.

  • A light jacket or sweatshirt that fits in a small bag for the night.

  • Comfortable closed shoes, because circuit asphalt is hard on feet.

  • A poncho rather than an umbrella 2.

  • A power bank, since the allowed items list includes external batteries 6.

Tip: Altitude and long days mean you drink more water than you expect. Bring an empty bottle in if the entry rules allow it, and refill inside rather than buying small bottles all night.

Which Mexico City Neighbourhoods Put You Within One Metro Ride of Line 9?

The best base for Corona Capital is anywhere on or close to Metro Line 9, so you can reach Ciudad Deportiva without changing trains. Rooms near the festival sell out and cost more in the days around a three-day event, so book early and choose flexible cancellation if you can.

Iztacalco and the area around Velódromo and Puebla stations are the closest, practical for walking home after the Metro hours if you can face a long walk, but quieter with fewer restaurants and a less polished feel. This is the cheapest area to be near the gates but not the nicest.

Roma and Condesa, reachable from Chilpancingo on Line 9, are the popular middle option. They have restaurants, cafés and bars, and travellers who want city life during the day can leave for the festival after lunch. Centro Médico is a useful interchange with Line 3 if you stay elsewhere downtown.

Centro Histórico works for first-time visitors who also want museums and walking. It needs a change of line, usually via Pantitlán or Tacubaya, so expect a longer journey than from Line 9 neighbourhoods.

Options near the airport, along Line 5, make sense for early flights because you ride to Pantitlán and switch to Line 9.

Use these as a short checklist:

  • Stay close to Line 9 to avoid late-night changes.

  • Check how you will get back when the Metro closes at midnight 2.

  • Book as soon as you buy your ticket, not after.

  • Prefer areas with sidewalks and street lighting for the walk back to your room.

Think about the walk after the show as much as the ride there. Streets around the circuit are residential and fill with people heading to the Metro, taxis and parked cars once the final act ends, so a room within one Metro ride or a short ride-hail trip saves you from standing in a slow queue at one in the morning. If you share a room with friends, agree on a single pickup street and a backup street in case the first one is blocked by traffic.

Hotel prices are not tracked in the sources used here, so check booking sites for your own dates rather than relying on a number from this page.

Tip: If you stay in Roma or Condesa, plan the last ride home before the final headliner, since you will be leaving a crowded exit area while the Metro is closing 2.

Will Your Phone Hold a Signal Inside the Autódromo on the Final Night?

Plan for patchy mobile data once tens of thousands of people are in the same field, and treat your connection as something to prepare before you reach the gates rather than something you fix inside. No source in this research gives a measured signal figure for the venue, so this section sticks to what you can control.

Official Wi-Fi exists only in premium tiers: Banamex Plus lists Wi-Fi among its perks and Club Pass lists exclusive Wi-Fi and phone charging 4. General ticket holders should assume they will rely on mobile data.

What to do before you fly:

  • Install a Mexico eSIM at home on Wi-Fi so it is ready when you land; the Mexico eSIM page shows what is available.

  • Download offline maps of Iztacalco and your hotel area so you can navigate if data drops.

  • Save a screenshot of your QR ticket and carry your photo ID, which is checked with the ticket at the first filter 2.

  • Charge your phone fully and pack a power bank, because external batteries have been allowed 6.

Inside the venue, text your group a meeting point before you enter. Voice calls and video fail more often than short messages when everyone is competing for signal, so use text pins and arrange a fallback such as the main stage entrance.

Leaving is the other pressure point. Metro Line 9 stops at midnight, so after the final set you will rely on a rideshare app or a late Metrobús 2. Opening an app in a crowded exit with weak signal is slow, so load the pickup location while you are still inside and walk towards a side street.

Set a battery rule with your group, for example that nobody lets their phone fall below a quarter charge after dark, because a dead phone also means a dead QR ticket if you step out and must show it again at a different checkpoint.

Keep valuables in an inside pocket, since phones are the main target in crowded exits. If data fails, step to the edge of the crowd, away from the stage, and reload there.

Tip: Avoid streaming video or uploading large files over mobile data during peak sets. Post later on hotel Wi-Fi, and keep data for maps, QR tickets and rides.

Frequently asked questions

There is no tier officially called Zona VIP in the organiser's FAQ. The closest options are Banamex Plus, with a fast line, side-stage access and golf carts between the stages, and Club Pass, which adds a terrace, concierge, included food and premium drinks 2 4. Check Ticketmaster México for current availability and phase prices before you decide.

Gates open at 2:00 pm each day, and the event ends at about 2:00 am, with last entry about three hours before the final performance 2. Will Call, at Gate 5, runs from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm 2. Arrive in the early afternoon to avoid queues at the first gate filter and the second security search.

Take Line 9 to Ciudad Deportiva, which is next to the Autódromo and costs 5 pesos 9. For the return, remember Metro service ends at midnight 2. If the last acts finish later, you will need a rideshare, a late bus route or the paid Ticket2Ride shuttle, which operated in 2025 8.

Children can attend, but a ticket is required from age three, and there is no children's area, so minors must be supervised at all times 2. The site is loud, crowded and cold at night, so bring ear protection and a jacket for small children, and plan a quiet exit well before the final headliners begin.

Umbrellas and outside food and drinks are prohibited under the organiser's FAQ, and security may search people and vehicles at any time 2. In 2025 small clear bags and bags up to 30 x 30 cm were accepted, while large tote bags, mesh bags and camera cases were not 6 7. Check the 2026 access policy before you pack.

Install your eSIM before you fly, on home Wi-Fi, so you land with working data and a ready QR ticket. For the festival, maps, ticket scans and a ride app use little data compared with video, so keep streaming for later. Official Wi-Fi is limited to Banamex Plus and Club Pass holders 4.
