Overview

Gorillaz on Friday, Twenty One Pilots on Saturday and The Strokes on Sunday headline the three nights of Corona Capital, which takes over Curva 4 of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Iztacalco on 20, 21 and 22 November 2026 1 2 11. The organiser lists Puerta 6 and Puerta 15 as the main entrances, gates from 14:00 and a finish at about 2:00 am, while Metro Line 9 stops running at midnight 2. On 5 November 2026 the official ticket page showed the three-day General pass at 4,760 MXN in phase 2, before service charges 3.

Highlights

  • Gorillaz, Twenty One Pilots and The Strokes each headline one of the three nights 11
  • Curva 4 of a Formula 1 circuit, with concrete, grass and gravel underfoot 2 6
  • Three Line 9 stations next to the site: Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva and Puebla 7
  • Four tiers, from General to the Corona 100 Club Pass with a pit in front of the main stage 2 4
  • Golf carts between the two main stages for Banamex Plus holders 3
  • Running since 16 October 2010, three days long since 2022 17

Which Photo IDs Does the First Filter at Puerta 6 Check Against the QR?

At Puerta 6 and Puerta 15, the first filter checks the ticket together with an official photo ID, and the second is an airport-style search 2. The organiser accepts the INE card or a Mexican or foreign passport, and turns away driving licences, school or consular cards and expired documents 6. Tickets become non-transferable once scanned and lost ones are not reprinted, so a QR that will not load at Puerta 6 at 14:00 can cost the whole day 2.

Where Do Groups Regroup Between Curva 4's Two Main Stages?

Curva 4 has two main stages far enough apart that the organiser runs golf carts between them for Banamex Plus holders and a Backstage Road shuttle for Club Pass guests 3 4. Everyone with a General wristband walks that stretch on concrete, grass and gravel, with a few slopes between stages 6. Dropping a shared map pin before the first headliner saves a search across the Autódromo after dark, on each of the 3 nights from 20 to 22 November 2026 1.

What Happens When Line 9 Stops at Midnight Before the Last Headliner?

The organiser's FAQ warns that the Metro stops at 00:00, while the festival runs until about 2:00 am 2. Ciudad Deportiva, Velódromo and Puebla stations on Line 9 then close, and the return relies on taxis, ride apps, the Ticket2Ride buses or a car from Puerta 15 on Añil 2 7 9. The official transport page lists 4 taxi lines, including the Sitio de Taxis Palacio de los Deportes at 4000-8294 7.

How Does a Same-Day Banamex Plus Upgrade Get Paid For?

A General ticket can be upgraded to Banamex Plus while that tier still has stock, by paying the difference at the festival box office or at the entrance to the Banamex Plus zone inside the Autódromo 2. On 5 November 2026 the single-day Banamex Plus ticket stood at 6,200 MXN for Friday or Saturday in phase 3 3. Lockers and Ticket2Ride seats are sold separately on Ticketmaster México, so a working card and banking app matter on the day 9 10.

Why Does Corona Capital 2026 Fall a Week After the November Long Weekend?

Corona Capital 2026 is confirmed for Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026 at Curva 4 of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez 1 2. Chilango, which published the day-by-day poster on 18 May 2026, points out that the dates sit one week after the November long weekend 11. Mexican Times, writing on 26 October 2026, describes the move away from the usual weekend and calls this the festival's 16th edition, while Chilango numbers it the 15th, so the edition count is not a reliable search term 11 13.

The shift matters because the festival has a strong habit of mid-November dates. The 2025 edition ran from 14 to 16 November 2025 at the same circuit 16. Wikipedia's Spanish entry records October dates from 2010 to 2014 and November dates from 2015 onwards, so anyone booking flights from an older pattern can easily land a week early 17.

The format has also grown. The first edition, on 16 October 2010, lasted 1 day, with Pixies, Interpol and James among the headliners 16 17. The festival stayed at 1 day in 2011, ran over 2 days from 2012 to 2021, and has filled 3 days since 2022 17. That third day is why single-day tickets now differ by date and price phase.

Corona Capital has also had weather drama before. In 2014, rain and lightning halted activities and cut Massive Attack's set to about 20 minutes, a reminder that a late-afternoon storm over Iztacalco can reshape a day 17.

  • Friday 20 November 2026: Gorillaz headlines the first night 11.
  • Saturday 21 November 2026: Twenty One Pilots headlines the second night 11.
  • Sunday 22 November 2026: The Strokes headline the final night 11.

Every day opens at 14:00 and finishes at about 2:00 am, with last entry usually about three hours before the final performance 2. On Thursdays from 29 October to 19 November 2026, the organiser also runs a weekly Corona Capital radio hour on Chilango Radio 105.3 FM from 7 to 8 pm, useful for last-minute schedule news in Mexico City 1.

Tip: By 5 November 2026 Saturday General tickets had reached phase 3, so a Saturday-only plan cost 900 MXN more than Friday or Sunday, at 3,500 MXN against 2,600 MXN 3.

Which Night Does Each Headliner Close: Gorillaz, Twenty One Pilots or The Strokes?

JamBase reported on 19 May 2026 that Gorillaz, The Strokes and Twenty One Pilots top the lineup 12. Chilango's day split, published on 18 May 2026, assigns each headliner a night and lists around 24 acts per day 11. The day lists below follow Chilango and the 26 October 2026 Mexican Times guide 11 13.

Friday 20 November 2026 leans indie and soul 11:

  • Gorillaz, Mumford and Sons, Daniel Caesar and James Blake at the top 11.
  • The Kooks, CHVRCHES, Yung Lean, Friko, Model/Actriz and Hot Milk further down 11.
  • Durand Jones and The Indications, Violet Grohl, CMAT and Grace Ives among the earlier names 11.

Saturday 21 November 2026 is the loudest day, with pop-punk and electronic acts 11:

  • Twenty One Pilots, The Offspring, Pierce The Veil and Underworld at the top 11.
  • Mother Mother, BØRNS, Dope Lemon, Maisie Peters and Peaches below them 11.
  • Jordana, Militarie Gun, Strawberry Guy and Balu Brigada among the earlier sets 11.

Sunday 22 November 2026 carries the longest list of veteran names 11:

  • The Strokes, The xx, Lola Young and Lil Yachty at the top 11.
  • Bunt. playing In The Round, The Black Crowes, Johnny Marr and Manic Street Preachers 11.
  • Loyle Carner, Santigold, Tricky, Purity Ring and Ela Minus further down 11.

Mexican Times confirms the same headliner split in its 26 October 2026 guide, adding that set times by stage had not been released and that the festival usually publishes them a few days before, together with its app 13. Saturday is the day where demand shows first: its phase 1 and phase 2 General tickets had sold out by 5 November 2026, while Friday and Sunday were still in phase 2 3.

Tip: Fans of The Black Crowes, Johnny Marr and Manic Street Preachers need Sunday 22 November 2026, not a Friday or Saturday ticket 11.

Which Corona Capital Price Phases Are Still On Sale at Ticketmaster México?

The organiser sells four tiers through Ticketmaster México: Acceso General, Comfort Pass presented by Banamex, Banamex Plus and Corona 100 Club Pass 2. Banamex cardholders got a presale on 26 May 2026 at 2 pm, and general sale opened on 27 May 2026 at 2 pm 12 14. Each tier moves through price phases; on 5 November 2026 the official page listed these current phases, all before service charges 3:

  • General three-day pass: 4,760 MXN in phase 2; phase 1 at 4,090 MXN sold out 3.
  • General single day: 2,600 MXN for Friday or Sunday in phase 2, and 3,500 MXN for Saturday in phase 3 3.
  • Comfort Pass three-day pass: 7,260 MXN in phase 3 3.
  • Comfort Pass single day: 4,500 MXN for Friday or Saturday, 3,600 MXN for Sunday 3.
  • Banamex Plus three-day pass: 10,860 MXN in phase 3 3.
  • Banamex Plus single day: 6,200 MXN for Friday or Saturday, 4,800 MXN for Sunday 3.
  • Corona 100 Club Pass: 35,000 MXN for three days or 15,200 MXN for one day, both in phase 3 3.

Excélsior reported in May 2026 that the 4,090 MXN phase 1 General pass was the lowest in four years, with the other tiers about 10% cheaper than in 2025 14. Sopitas quotes higher figures, such as 5,902 MXN for the phase 2 General pass, because it lists prices with charges added 15. The difference between the two is the Ticketmaster service fee, not a different ticket.

What the tiers add is specific to this site. Comfort Pass brings air-conditioned private restrooms and a fast entrance but no access to the Banamex Plus zone 2. Banamex Plus adds a fast line, a side pit at the main stages, a raised platform at the main stage, a Wi-Fi hot spot, phone battery loans and golf carts between the 2 main stages 3. The Corona 100 Club Pass adds the Pit Club in front of the main stage, a terrace beside it, included food and premium drinks 4.

The organiser caps purchases at 8 tickets per person and offers Banamex customers interest-free monthly payments 2. Tickets can be bought in friends' names but cannot be transferred after scanning 2.

Tip: Children under 3 enter free, but every child from age 3 needs a ticket, and there is no children's area at Curva 4 2.

Which Exit at Metro Ciudad Deportiva Leads Toward Puerta 6?

Three stations on Metro Line 9, the brown Pantitlán to Tacubaya line, serve the festival: Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva and Puebla 7. Chilango's 2026 guide suggests leaving Ciudad Deportiva on the side facing the Pantitlán direction and walking against the car traffic to reach the entrance 11. The organiser names Puerta 6 and Puerta 15 as the entrances to the event, with pedestrian and vehicle access through Puerta 7 and Puerta 15 2.

Metrobús is the second rail-like option. The official transport page lists Line 2, the purple Tacubaya to Tepalcates route, with UPIICSA and El Rodeo stops 7. Chilango adds Goma and Iztacalco stops and puts the walk to Puerta 15 at 5 to 8 minutes 11.

Four gate numbers are in play at the Autódromo in 2026 2:

  • Puerta 5, on Avenida Viaducto Río de la Piedad: Will Call for tickets bought abroad, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on festival days 2.
  • Puerta 6: main entrance for ticket holders 2.
  • Puerta 7: pedestrian and vehicle access 2.
  • Puerta 15, on Añil: main entrance, parking entrance and disabled parking 2 8.

Arriving by plane is unusually easy. The official page puts Mexico City International Airport 7 km away and Felipe Ángeles International Airport 48 km away 7. From the city's main airport a taxi is a direct option, and the official transport page lists 4 taxi companies with phone numbers, including Taximex on 9171-8888 7.

For a fixed return, Ticket2Ride buses are sold as a three-day pass or as single-day tickets for 20, 21 or 22 November 2026 on Ticketmaster México 9. Pickup points and prices appear on the Ticketmaster listings rather than on the festival page 9.

Driving means Puerta 15 on Añil, where the Autódromo parking is subject to availability 2. Chilango notes that the parking charge is paid in cash 11. Vehicles must leave the parking areas every night when the festival ends, and drinking or sleeping in cars is banned 8.

Tip: Will Call at Puerta 5 needs the buyer's photo ID and the card used for the purchase, and the organiser advises arriving early to avoid queues 2.

What Happens Between Puerta 6 Opening at 14:00 and the 2:00 am Finish?

Gates open at 14:00 and the organiser recommends arriving early; last entry is usually about three hours before the last performance, and the day ends at about 2:00 am 2. With a 12-hour window, the afternoon belongs to the long list of smaller acts and the night to the headliners 2 11.

Entry has two steps. The first filter checks the ticket and ID, and the second is an airport-style search that can include emptying pockets and bags, a quick body check and removing shoes 2 6. There is no re-entry once the ticket has been scanned, no refunds or exchanges, and no camping anywhere on the property 6. The organiser also states a zero-tolerance policy on drugs, with police working inside and outside the Autódromo 6.

Sopitas published the 2026 permitted list on 19 October 2026 15:

  • Bags, single-compartment backpacks and handbags up to 30 x 30 cm 15.
  • Reusable plastic bottles up to 1 L, empty at the gate 15.
  • Antibacterial gel in containers up to 100 ml 15.
  • Sunscreen in cream form, sunglasses, hats and earplugs 15.
  • Action cameras under 12 cm and non-professional flash cameras 15.
  • Spare rechargeable phone batteries 15.

Refused items for 2026 include aerosols, perfume, binoculars, vapes, chairs, blankets, professional cameras and bags larger than 30 x 30 cm 15. Umbrellas are banned as well, according to the organiser's FAQ 2. Anything that falls outside the list can go in a locker, which is sold as a three-day pass on Ticketmaster México 10.

Inside, food trucks and food stands include vegetarian and vegan options, and alcohol is sold on site, with 18 the minimum age to drink 2 6. Official merchandise is sold from a tent, and medical tents give free first aid 2 6. The organiser recommends attendees be at least 16, while children from age 3 need a ticket 2 6.

Tip: Phones and fanny packs are on the permitted list, and the organisers suggest keeping phones in a front pocket inside the Curva 4 crowd 15.

How Cold Does Curva 4 Get After Dark in Late November?

Mexico City sits at 2,200 to 2,600 metres depending on the district, and that altitude shapes every Corona Capital night 18. November averages a high of 22.5 °C and a low of 8.6 °C, with about 15 mm of rain over 2 days and 7.5 hours of sunshine a day 18. That gap of about 14 °C falls between the 14:00 gate opening and the 2:00 am finish at Curva 4 2 18.

At 14:00 the sun over Iztacalco is strong at altitude, so cream sunscreen and a hat matter; aerosol sunscreen is on the 2026 banned list 15. By the time the Sunday headliner plays after dark, temperatures can sit near that 8.6 °C average low 18. The organiser's information page asks attendees to follow weather reports and plan clothing accordingly 6.

Rain is unusual in November, with only 2 rainy days on average, but Corona Capital has history here 18. In 2014, rain and lightning stopped activities and cut Massive Attack's set to about 20 minutes 17. Because umbrellas are banned, the organiser suggests a raincoat or a good jacket 2.

The ground adds to the chill. The organiser describes the site as concrete, grass and gravel or earth, mostly flat with some slopes between stages 6. Closed shoes and warm socks suit a 12-hour day on that surface, from 14:00 to about 2:00 am 2 6.

A layering plan for Curva 4:

  • Afternoon: cream sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, all on the 2026 permitted list 15.
  • Sunset: a light jacket in a bag no larger than 30 x 30 cm 15.
  • Headliner: a warm jacket or raincoat instead of an umbrella 2.
  • All day: an empty plastic bottle up to 1 L to refill inside 15.

The Banamex Plus and Club Pass zones add tables, shade and rest areas, which helps anyone who wants a break from standing between sets 3 4. The Club Pass Garden is described as a shaded rest space for the whole festival 4.

Tip: Lockers sold for the three days let a heavier jacket stay at the Autódromo until sunset instead of being carried from 14:00 10.

Which Airport Hotels Does the Organiser List Near the Autódromo?

The organiser's FAQ names 8 hotels near the Autódromo, most of them on the airport side, 7 km from Mexico City International Airport 2 7:

  • Hotel Grand Prix 2.
  • Holiday Inn Dali Aeropuerto 2.
  • Camino Real Aeropuerto 2.
  • NH Terminal 2 2.
  • Sport Aristos Hotel Boutique 2.
  • Mini Suites Aeropuerto 2.
  • City Express Ciudad de México Aeropuerto 2.
  • Krystal Urban Aeropuerto Ciudad de México 2.

The airport cluster suits visitors flying in for a single day or leaving early on Monday 23 November 2026, because the circuit sits only 7 km from the terminals 7. A taxi from the Palacio de los Deportes rank at 4000-8294 is one of the organiser's listed options for that short hop 7.

A second choice is anywhere along Metro Line 9 between Tacubaya and Pantitlán, because the line stops at Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva and Puebla next to the circuit 7. That keeps the afternoon trip to Puerta 6 to a single train with no transfer 2 7. The trade-off arrives after 00:00, when the Metro has stopped and the return becomes a taxi, a ride app or a Ticket2Ride bus 2 9.

The festival has an official short-stay partnership this year, branded Airbnb x Corona Capital on the home page 1. Groups of 25 to 40 people have another option inside the site: the Cavannas, private hospitality spaces overlooking the main stage with an open bar, food, 1 parking pass for every 5 guests and Banamex Plus benefits included 5.

Whatever the base, the return plan matters more than the outbound trip. Agree on Puerta 15 or Puerta 6 as the exit, since they are the 2 main entrances and the parking entrance is at Puerta 15 2. Drivers staying in airport hotels should remember that vehicles must leave the Autódromo parking each night after the festival ends 8.

Tip: Rooms on the airport side that offer late checkout make the Sunday 22 November 2026 finish at about 2:00 am easier before a Monday flight 2.

Where Inside Curva 4 Is Festival Wi-Fi Actually Offered?

Festival Wi-Fi at Corona Capital is tied to tiers, not to the whole site. The 2026 Banamex Plus package lists a Wi-Fi hot spot, the Corona 100 Club Pass lists an exclusive network in its zone, and the Cavannas list Wi-Fi as well 3 4 5. General and Comfort Pass holders get no Wi-Fi in the official descriptions 2 3.

Phone power follows the same split. Banamex Plus and Club Pass guests can borrow phone batteries, with the Club Pass page promising a guaranteed loan 3 4. General holders can bring their own spare rechargeable batteries, which are on the 2026 permitted list 15.

The phone does three jobs here that are specific to this festival:

  • Holding the QR that the first filter at Puerta 6 or Puerta 15 checks against the ID 2.
  • Showing set times, which the festival usually publishes a few days before together with its official app 13.
  • Booking a taxi or finding the Ticket2Ride bus after Line 9 stops at 00:00 2 9.

The official FAQ says the festival app is announced on its social media channels when it becomes available, so the timetable may only reach phones in the final week before 20 November 2026 2. A screenshot of each day's set times, taken on hotel Wi-Fi, avoids relying on the network during the Sunday headliners 13.

Banamex Plus also lists exclusive Digicash top-up zones, which matters for anyone paying for food and drink inside that area 3. The Club Pass cloakroom even ships forgotten items home, so a lost charger does not have to mean a lost night 4.

Coverage details for a Mexico data plan are on the Mexico eSIM page.

Inside the crowd, a shared pin at a fixed point such as the Banamex Plus golf-cart stop or the merch tent is easier to find than a friend between the 2 main stages 2 3. Agree on that point before the first headliner each night from 20 to 22 November 2026 1.

Tip: Take screenshots of the QR for 20, 21 and 22 November 2026 separately; tickets cannot be transferred once scanned 2.

Frequently asked questions

Tickets bought from abroad through ticketmaster.com.mx are collected at the Will Call booth at Puerta 5, on Avenida Viaducto Río de la Piedad, on festival days 2. The booth is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm 2. Bring an official photo ID and the credit card used for the purchase, and arrive early, because the organiser warns of long queues at the booth 2.

The organiser's FAQ places the box office at Puerta 7 of the Palacio de los Deportes, next to the Autódromo, and it accepts cash as well as cards 2. Online, Ticketmaster México takes all credit and debit cards, including American Express, Visa and Mastercard 2. On 5 November 2026 the three-day General pass cost 4,760 MXN before service charges in phase 2 3.

Yes, while Banamex Plus stock lasts. The difference is paid at the festival box office, or inside the venue at the entrance to the Banamex Plus zone 2. The zone adds a fast line, a side pit at the main stages, a raised platform and golf carts between the 2 main stages 3. Banamex Plus and Comfort Pass wristbands are fitted by staff on arrival, and a broken band must be shown to get a new one 2.

The Corona 100 Club Pass adds the Pit Club in front of the main stage, a terrace beside it, a shaded Garden, a concierge, included food and premium drinks 4. Its side-stage platform can be booked through the concierge until the headliners start 4. Guests arriving with 2 Club Pass tickets get preferential parking with a shuttle to the Garden entrance 4. On 5 November 2026 it cost 35,000 MXN for three days in phase 3 3.

The Cavannas are private hospitality spaces overlooking the main stage, booked for groups of 25 to 40 people 5. They include food, an open bar during festival hours, snacks, VIP restrooms, Wi-Fi, a fast lane and Banamex Plus benefits 5. Every guest still needs a festival ticket from age 3, and 1 parking pass comes with every 5 guests 5. Bookings go through the organiser's contact on the Cavannas page.

The first Corona Capital took place on 16 October 2010 as a 1-day event, with Pixies, Interpol and James among the headliners 16 17. OCESA founded it at Curva 4 of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the same site used in 2026 16. It grew to 2 days in 2012 and to 3 days in 2022, and it moved from October to November in 2015 17.
