Yes, all iPhone 13 models (mini, 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max) support eSIM, allowing two active SIMs: one physical nano-SIM and one eSIM, or two eSIMs. This is the first time Apple supports dual eSIMs, ideal for travelers or separating work/personal numbers.
Note: iPhone 13 models in Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macao may not support eSIM. The iPhone 13 mini supports eSIM except in Mainland China. All iPhone 13 models use nano-SIM cards, not micro-SIMs.
How to Check if Your iPhone 13 Supports eSIM:
- Check if unlocked: Go to Settings > General > About. If “Carrier Lock” says “No SIM restrictions,” it’s unlocked.
- Look for eSIM options: Go to Settings > Cellular. If you see “Add eSIM” or “Add Cellular Plan,” it supports eSIM.
- About Section: On iOS 15+, check for “Available SIM” or “Digital SIM” with a 15-digit IMEI.
How to Activate eSIM on iPhone 13:
- During Setup: Select “Use QR Code” if your carrier supports eSIM activation.
- After Setup:
- Scan the QR code from your carrier.
- If sent via email, press and hold the code, then tap “Add eSIM.”
- Follow carrier app instructions.
- Manual Entry: Go to Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan and enter details.
