EDC Las Vegas 2027: Dates, Lineup, Tickets and Travel Guide

EDC Las Vegas 2027 takes place over two weekends at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: EDC Dusk from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 May 2027, and EDC Dawn from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 May 2027 ¹. Insomniac announced the two-weekend format on 20 May 2026, and the official site now lists both weekends ^{14 1}. Around the two festival weekends, a citywide Dusk Till Dawn programme runs from 13 to 24 May 2027 ¹⁵.

The gate hours change between the Friday and the rest of each weekend, and they are the same on Dusk and Dawn ³:

• Friday 14 and Friday 21 May 2027: 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM ³

• Saturday 15 and Saturday 22 May 2027: 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM ³

• Sunday 16 and Sunday 23 May 2027: 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM ³

Each night ends on the following calendar morning. The Sunday of EDC Dusk closes at 5:30 AM on Monday 17 May 2027, and the Sunday of EDC Dawn closes at 5:30 AM on Monday 24 May 2027 ³. You can enter until one hour before the end of the event, provided your wristband has not already been scanned that night ⁹.

Mid-May has been the Las Vegas slot for years, but the festival did not start there. The Electric Daisy Carnival moved its flagship event from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2011, when it ran on 24–26 June 2011 and drew about 230,000 people ¹⁷. The single weekend grew to 525,000 attendees in 2023 and again in 2024 ¹⁷. The previous edition ran on 15–17 May 2026 and marked the festival's 30th anniversary, with more than 200 performers ¹⁶. Insomniac says the two-weekend layout gives each weekend a lower capacity and more room on the dance floors ¹⁴.

Tip: Book your flight home for the Monday afternoon at the earliest. With the Sunday gates closing at 5:30 AM on Monday morning, a Sunday-evening departure means missing the final night.

The weekend you pick is the main difference, because Insomniac has confirmed the same lineup for EDC Dusk and EDC Dawn ¹⁴. Every attendee needs a pass, and at EDC Las Vegas 2027 a GA pass for the Dusk weekend costs 479.99 USD, while the same GA pass for the Dawn weekend costs 529.99 USD, both including fees but before taxes and delivery ². The official ticket page uses all-in pricing, so the figure shown already includes the service fees ².

Prices by tier, per weekend or for both weekends, as listed on the official ticket page ²:

• GA (Experience Pass): Dusk 479.99 USD; Dawn 529.99 USD; both weekends 859.99 USD ²

• GA+ (Experience Plus): Dusk 529.99 USD; Dawn 599.99 USD; both weekends 999.99 USD ²

• VIP (Elevated Experience): Dusk 1,349.99 USD; Dawn 1,399.99 USD; both weekends 2,499.99 USD ²

GA covers the gates, the arenas, the art installations, the carnival rides and games, and every DJ set ². GA+ adds a dedicated, faster entry lane and access to premium restroom trailers ². VIP adds elevated viewing decks, including one at Kinetic Field, a lounge at Neon Garden, a VIP Ferris wheel, fast-pass lanes for some carnival rides and air-conditioned bathrooms ². Every VIP area is 21+ ².

The whole festival is 18+, and the ID rules catch out international visitors. A US or foreign passport with a photo and date of birth is accepted ³. A foreign driving licence with a colour photocopy of your passport gets you through the gate, but not into the 21+ wristband line or the VIP areas, which need the physical passport or a US ID ³. Digital IDs, expired IDs and consular IDs are refused ³.

There are no free areas at the Speedway itself. The free parts of the trip are in town: the Dusk Till Dawn programme includes a free all-ages parade and a free art exhibition ¹⁵.

Tip: Going to both weekends? Two separate GA passes cost 1,009.98 USD, against 859.99 USD for the both-weekends GA pass ².

The easiest way from the Strip to Las Vegas Motor Speedway is an official EDC shuttle, the only charter bus option that drops you at the festival gates ⁵. The Speedway sits at 7000 N Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89115, at coordinates 36.27134, -115.01112, about 10 miles north of downtown Las Vegas ^{3 18 20}. Harry Reid International Airport (LAS, formerly McCarran) is 20 miles from the venue, and North Las Vegas Airport (VGT) is 13 miles away ⁷.

For EDC Las Vegas 2027, the shuttle page lists four Standard pickup stops and one extra Premier stop ⁴:

• World Market Center: 435 S Grand Central Pkwy, west of Downtown Las Vegas ⁴

• West Flamingo Road: 3700 W Flamingo Road, west of the Strip ⁴

• North Strip: 2000 S Las Vegas Blvd ⁴

• Mid-Strip: 3645 S Las Vegas Blvd ⁴

• Premier only: 4455 Paradise Rd, east of the Strip ⁴

Standard shuttles leave continuously from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM and return from 2:00 AM until 60 minutes after the music ends at Kinetic Field ⁴. Premier passes reserve one departure (6:30 PM, 8:30 PM or 10:30 PM) and one return (3:00 AM, 4:30 AM or 6:00 AM) ⁴. A lost pass can be replaced once for 20 USD with photo ID and the purchase card ⁴. Passes are sold only through the official site and usually sell out before the weekend ⁴.

Driving means I-15 North to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd), or Las Vegas Blvd northbound from Downtown ⁵. The organiser says not to follow Google or Waze near the venue and to watch the electronic signs on I-15 instead ⁵. Cars enter via Gate 3 on Las Vegas Blvd and Gate 16 on Hollywood Blvd, and general traffic is not allowed on Las Vegas Blvd north of Checkered Flag Blvd (Gate 4) ⁵. General parking is free, with the Brown and Green Lots the largest ⁶. Rideshare drop-off and pickup is the Mid-Brown Lot, reached from the E Tropical Parkway exit ⁶.

Tip: Need a wheelchair-accessible shuttle? Contact the shuttle team at least two weeks before the festival ¹².

A night at EDC Las Vegas is a slow build from an early-evening arrival to a set at Kinetic Field as the sky lightens over the desert. Kinetic Field is the largest stage and holds 70,000 people for headliners ¹⁷. The rest of the infield is split into themed arenas, and the 2026 edition had nine stages: kineticFIELD, cosmicMEADOW, circuitGROUNDS, neonGARDEN, bassPOD, wasteLAND, stereoBLOOM, quantumVALLEY and bionicJUNGLE ¹⁶.

The 2027 lineup had not been announced by 8 October 2026, and Insomniac says artist lineups and pop-up schedules will follow closer to May 2027 ¹⁵. Set times come out in the days before the festival on the website, social media, the Insomniac app and by email, and they are also printed on the guide you get at entry ⁹.

How a typical night unfolds:

• Early evening: gates open, and the carnival rides, art cars and art installations are easiest to reach before the main stages fill ²
• Friday opening: at the 2026 edition, an opening pre-party and ceremony ran from 5 PM to 7 PM on the Friday, with a dedicated shuttle add-on ⁴
• Late night: headliners rotate across the arenas, and crowds flow between stages
• Final hours: Kinetic Field holds the crowd until the 5:30 AM gate close ³

The days between EDC Dusk and EDC Dawn are new for Las Vegas. The Dusk Till Dawn programme of 13–24 May 2027 includes the Map Point Summit industry gathering at Hotel EDC, an Insomniac concept store, a free art exhibition of rave photography, graffiti and flyers, and an independent makers' marketplace from Tuesday to Thursday ¹⁵. Camp EDC adds opening parties at The Mesa at the start of each weekend and Monday-morning afterparties after the Speedway closes ¹⁵.

For the best view at Kinetic Field, stand back near the sound towers rather than pressing to the barrier. VIP holders get the elevated deck ². If you need step-free access, the Accessibility Services Hub sits next to Kinetic Field, to the right after Gate S, and the accessibility wristband is free ¹².

Nights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway are much cooler than the afternoon, and by the 5:30 AM gate close you will want a layer. In May, Las Vegas averages a daily maximum of 88.5°F (31.4°C) and a daily minimum of 66.1°F (18.9°C), measured at Harry Reid International Airport for the 1991–2020 normals ¹⁹. Rain is rare at 0.07 in for the whole month, and average relative humidity is 21.3% ¹⁹. The May record high is 109°F (43°C) ¹⁹.

That dry air shapes everything. You lose water fast even after dark, and the official health team provides free hydration stations across the venue ¹¹. The Speedway is also exposed to wind. High winds shut the second night down early in 2012, and in 2019 strong winds forced stage closures on the second day ¹⁷. The festival runs rain or shine ³.

What to wear and pack for EDC Las Vegas 2027 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:

• A light jacket, hoodie or wrap for the hours after 2:00 AM

• Comfortable closed shoes for gravel, dust and long walks between stages

• A hydration pack with no more than two main compartments and one small compartment, empty on entry ³

• A reusable water bottle, empty on entry ³

• A personal misting fan with a bottle no larger than 1.5 L, empty on entry ³

• A clear bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a small clutch up to 6 x 9 inches ³

• Your physical passport or US ID

Outside food and drink, aerosol cans, chairs, blankets, laser pointers and red light-up wands are all banned ³.

Arrive early on the first night. Parking lots open at 3 PM on Friday and 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and the Friday gates open two hours before those on Saturday and Sunday ^{6 3}.

Tip: The air at the Speedway is dry enough that you can feel fine while dehydrated. Drink at every water station you pass, not only when you are thirsty.

The best base for EDC Las Vegas is any area within walking distance of an official shuttle stop, because that decides how easily you get back at 3:00 AM. The Speedway is about 10 miles north of downtown Las Vegas, so no hotel area is walkable to the gates ²⁰. What matters is the stop, not the view.

The areas and how they fit the shuttle map for EDC Las Vegas 2027 ⁴:

• Mid-Strip, around 3645 S Las Vegas Blvd: central for food and nightlife, with the most hotel choice at every budget

• North Strip, around 2000 S Las Vegas Blvd: quieter, and the closest Strip stop to the Speedway road route

• West of the Strip, near 3700 W Flamingo Road: off-Strip hotels with their own stop, and easier car access

• Paradise Road, east of the Strip: served only by the Premier shuttle

• Downtown Las Vegas, near World Market Center: older casinos and lower rates, and Las Vegas Blvd runs north from Downtown to the Speedway ⁵

Insomniac runs an official room block, Hotel EDC, with deals under 90.44 USD a night plus taxes and fees when you book 12 nights across EDC Dusk and EDC Dawn ⁸. Those bookings can be cancelled free of charge until Tuesday 13 April 2027 at 5 PM PT ⁸. Hotel EDC is also the venue for the Map Point Summit and pool parties during the Dusk Till Dawn programme ¹⁵.

The alternative is Camp EDC on the Speedway grounds. Camping passes are sold as 4-night passes from Thursday to Sunday, and an additional parking pass costs 95 USD plus taxes and fees ⁹. For the first time, Camp EDC passes include the option to stay on site for all 12 days ¹⁵. Cars cannot drive into the campground, and sleeping in cars is not allowed ⁹.

Tip: Choose the shuttle stop first, then look for a room near it. A cheaper room across town can cost you a long walk or a surge-priced ride at 3:00 AM.

Your phone struggles at Las Vegas Motor Speedway because huge crowds share the same nearby cell sites through the night. The 2026 edition was expected to draw more than 500,000 attendees across three days ¹⁶. The official amenities page lists charging stations, lockers with a universal phone charger and info booths, but no attendee Wi-Fi ¹⁰. Plan on mobile data being your only connection at EDC Las Vegas 2027.

You will not need much data for maps and messages, but filming and uploading video from Kinetic Field uses far more than everything else together. Upload clips over hotel Wi-Fi the next afternoon rather than on the infield, when the network is at its busiest.

For visitors from outside the United States, an eSIM avoids hunting for a local SIM after a late-night arrival. Install it at home while you still have Wi-Fi, keep your home SIM switched on for calls and bank codes, and set the eSIM as your data line. Battery is the other half of the problem. Signal searching in a crowd drains a phone quickly, and lockers with a built-in charger give you a mid-night top-up ¹⁰.
